Teeny Tumblers
For boys and girls
1 1/2 - 6 years old.

Our Teeny Tumbler Age Groupings are divided into three separate age groups.

  • Parent Tot (1 1/2 to 3 1/2 Year Olds) - A playful, parent/tot class centered around age appropriate developmental movements. Has a strong emphasis on socialization skills and group involvement.
  • Teeny Tumblers (3 1/2 to 4 1/2 Year Olds) - No parents needed here! There are mountains to climb, canyons to jump, vines to swing and trampolines to jump on. More physically challenging skills, this group gives kids stronger bodies and sharper minds as well as a clearer understanding of their bodies' capabilities and limitations. This group teaches kids that a challenge is FUN!
  • Kinder Kids (4 1/2 to 6 Year Olds) - This age group is really beginning to step out and MOVE and it is essential that their physical challenges be monitored for safety, yet their attempts be rewarded. This way the "perceived risks" are seen as exciting challenges and the "failed attempts" are seen for what they are - an OK, normal piece of the learning puzzle. Kinder Kids are able to handle a class which is slightly more skill-oriented so, as the year moves along, we challenge the kids with progressively more "skills" and less "general movement". This way we prepare the child, physically and mentally, for our developmental gymnastics classes. Is this still FUN? ABSOLUTELY! (...just watch 'em go!)

FUN-tastics Beginners
For boys and girls
5 - 8 years old, and/or
based on skill level
The Beginner Program is divided into three categories, each building upon the skills of the other.
  • Beginner - Our Beginner classes are based on Level 1 and 2 Skills for girls and boys. These skills are the foundation and backbone of the sport of gymnastics. Beginner classes are geared towards 6 - 8 year old children; older girls should sign up for an Advanced Beginner class and older boys should sign up for an Intermediate class.
  • Advanced Beginner - Advanced Beginner classes review Level 1 skills for girls more quickly than our beginner classes. We usually get well into Levels 2 and 3 by the end of the school year. Advanced Beginner classes are usually split into 2 age groups: 6 - 8 year old children with at least one year of experience, and children 9 years old and up.
  • Intermediate - Intermediate classes are for experienced students who have mastered Level 2 Skills. We jump right in at Level 3 and by the end of the school year we have completed that level and are working on the next level.
Important Note: Our lesson plans are set up to progress throughout the entire 10 month school year. We do not 'start over' every session! We do our best to place students in a classs in September that will continue to progress througout the school year without having to keep changing class times or days. An Advanced Beginner class in September could easily end up an Intermediate class by June!
FUN-tastics - Advanced
For boys and girls
8 years old and up,
and/or based on skill level
The Advanced Program is divided into three categories, each building upon the foundation skills of the previous level.
  • Advanced - Our Advanced classes are based on the skill and combinations from Levels 3 - 4 for girls and boys. These skills form the foundations for the upper level Compulsory Routines.
  • Compulsory Prep & Rec Team- This level introduces USAG (USA Gymnastics) Compulsory routines and all that goes along with it! It's a lot harder to put everything together in a routine than it is to perform and individual skill. Presentation, rhythm, and technique are stressed, as well as introducting the "rules of the game." Rec Team girls will have "meets" at the gym, complete with awards!
  • High School Prep - This level is to help prepare the Junior and Senior High School gymnast for Rhode Island Interscholastic League optional competition. Skill development and routine construction are primary goals as well as increasing strength and flexibility in preparation for Junior or Senior High School competition.
Important Note: Our lesson plans are set up to progress throughout the entire 10 month school year. We do not 'start over' every session!
USAG
Competitive Program

For the most talented & dedicated athletes, USAG team is a wonderful way to develop skills and routines. It is a demanding program requiring many hours of hard work, but the rewards are well worth the effort. Athletes must meet strict strength and flexibility requirements; and be willing to practice year-round. When routines are ready, athletes will compete against other clubs, working towards qualification to championship competitions, as well as moving up through the Levels, increasing their skill level as they go. Team isn't for everyone, but the rewards for those who qualify are well worth the hard work. Visit our Competitive Team Locker Room and see our team in action!

Cheer Tumbling
No doubt about it... Cheerleaders are great athletes! With many of the same benefits of gymnastics and dance plus a unique teamwork element, cheerleading has developed into a challenging and exciting sport! The classes we offer instruct all aspects of gymnastic-related cheerleading skills with about 80% of the time devoted to tumbling skills specific to the needs of cheerleaders. The rest of the time we devote to leaps and jumps, etc. All classes are limited to 8 students per teacher. Click here for more details about our Cheer Tumbling classes.
