Adam Correira
Adam is the one of the most highly decorated gymnasts we have ever had, and we are thrilled that he has chosen to make his career, in the sport of gymnastics, here at East Bay. Adam started at East Bay 18 years ago and worked up to Level 10 winning just about everything you can along the way, culminating in his qualification to the USAG National Championships. His love for the sport is contagious his quiet, gentle yet firm coaching style is perfect for all ages levels. He is USAG Safety certified, a USAG Professional member, and CPR certified. Adam’s ability to instantaneously execute any skill at will, reaffirms to all of our students that anything is possible! -

Diane LaChance
Diane has been coaching here for 8 years and was a member of East Bay’s program for 14 years, rising to Level 9 with many awards and championship titles along the way. Diane was also very active in theatre through out high school and continued this in college, graduating cum laude from RIC with a degree in Technical Theater. She now works for the Blue Man Group! How fun is that!!Her love for the sport keeps her with us even though she has a very busy schedule!She is very enthusiastic and creative which really helps make her classes lots of fun! Diane is USAG Safety certified, a USAG Professional member, and CPR certified. -

Kaela Oliveira
Kaela has been coaching here for 5 years and she was a member of our competitive program for 12 years.She competed both USAG and High School gymnastics, was captain of Mt Hope’s competitive cheerleading squad and also played Varsity tennis.She is currently attending RI college working towards her nursing degree. Kaela is quickly becoming a very accomplished high level coach, she has a natural ability to connect with kids, she has very quiet, kind and gentle coaching style. She gets the kids attention and never lets it go! Kaela is USAG Safety certified, a USAG Professional member, and CPR certified. -

Stacey Cabral
Stacey has been coaching here for 5 years. She was also a member of East Bay for 13 years, and competed to Level 8 earning a spot as a Regional Team member. Stacey is a very accomplished dancer, having studied all forms of dance for 16 years. Stacey graduated from Bishop Stang High School and is currently working toward an elementary education degree at BCC. Her outgoing, fun loving personality makes her an instant hit with the kids, she makes learning lots of fun! Stacey has been making all of us smile at East Bay for a very long time, as demonstrated by her self-appointment as employee of the month, after month, after month... Stacey is a USAG certified PDP coach, CPR certified, and is of course, employee of the month! -

Kristin Belmore
Kristin has been coaching here for 5 years, she was a competitive gymnast for 11 years through Level 8, winning numerous awards along the way. She graduated 7th in her class from Mt. Hope, was a member of the National Honor Society, and in addition to her gymnastics, she played Volleyball, and was Captain of the Swimming and Lacrosse teams. She is currently going to Roger Williams as a Construction Management major on a full scholarship from the Bristol Fire Police Department. Kristin is USAG certified PDP coach and CPR certified. Kristin is not only a great teacher but a great example for our students. Her dedication, fun attitude and work ethic are contagious. -

Jarod Pelletier
Jarod has been at East Bay since 1984, as a student, competitor and our Boys Coach for 16 years. Jarod was not only a champion gymnast at the State and Regional levels, but also played Pop Warner Football, High School Football, Basketball and Hockey! Jarod’s coaching is not limited to gymnastics; he has coached youth hockey and CYO basketball. Jarod got his BS in Psychology from RI College. He was also RI-USAG Men’s State Chairman for 4 years. His love of sports and patient, low key approach to our active boys, has made him a very important part of the East Bay program. Jarod is USAG Safety Certified, USAG Professional Member, USAG Professional Coaches Development Program Certified (PDP), and CPR certified. Jarod is a proud Dad to his little boy. -

Gail Pelletier
Gail has been coaching at East Bay for 14 years. During her competitive career, Gail competed through Level 9 and was an All Division member of Mt Hope’s gymnastics team. Gail is a very accomplished dancer with 16 years experience. She is an excellent choreographer and does a wonderful job keeping the older team kids moving and motivated. Gail is a Registered Nurse; she got her nursing degree with a psychology minor from RI College and is working on her Masters in Psychology. Gail has just recently been promoted to Nurse Manager at Miriam Hospital. And if that’s not enough, she has a 3 year old son! Gail is USAG Safety Certified, a USAG Professional Member, USAG Professional Coaches Development Program Certified (PDP) and CPR certified. -

Kendal Ventura
Kendal has be coaching at East Bay for 12 years and was a competitive member of our program for 14 years, competing through USAG Level 8. She was also Captain of the Mt. Hope Varsity Team when they won the 2000 A Division State Championship as well as on the Track team Dance squad. Kendal is also an avid animal lover and a Licensed Wildlife Rehabilitator. Kendal is currently studying Speech Pathology and Special Ed. at RI College. She is a natural leader and a great teacher, she’s fun, exciting and very creative. Kendal is USAG Safety Certified, a USAG Professional Member, USAG Professional Coaches Development Program Certified (PDP), and CPR certified. Kendal is also a proud mom of a new baby boy! -

Robert Fudge
Robert became involved in gymnastics when Liz opened East Bay in 1984. “Just to help with the boys classes...” During his 26 year tenure, he has developed into one of the premier coaches in New England and is the cornerstone of our team program. He got is BS in Physical Education at URI, graduating with honors and a member of the History Honor Society, Phi Alpha Theta. Robert was the RI-USAG Men’s State Chairman for 14 years, assistant coach at Brown University, and Barrington High School coach for 15 years. He has trained boys and girls to the highest levels of the sport and continues to push our team members to their full potential. Robert has the following certifications: USAG Safety Certified, Red Cross First Aid & CPR, USAG Professional Member, USAG Professional Coaches Development Program Certified (PDP), USAG Meet Director, and is certified by the RI Interscholastic Coaches Association. -

Jemma Coster
Jemma has been coaching here for 7 years, and was a member of our competitive program for over 10 years. Jemma graduated from Barrington High with honors and is currently finishing her nursing, psychology and dance degrees at RIC. She is also a member of their dance company and an aerobics instructor. Jemma has a wonderful way of building confidence and self reliance in even our most timid students and the results she gets are remarkable. Jemma is USAG Safety certified, a USAG Professional member, and is CPR and lifeguard certified. -

Stephanie Nary
Stephanie has been coaching at East Bay for 12 years. She was a successful gymnast, winning USAG Level 8 State and Regional All Around Titles, and capturing the RI High School All Around Title 1999. She won numerous awards at the State, Regional and National levels in YMCA competitions. She was MVP for Portsmouth High School, as well as First Team All State and First Team All Scholastic. Stephanie got her degree in English and Secondary Education from Roger Williams University and teaches Language Arts at Barrington Middle School. Stephanie is USAG Safety Certified, a USAG Professional Member, USAG Professional Coaches Development Program Certified (PDP), CPR certified, and is certified by the RI Interscholastic Coaches Association. Stephanie is a proud mom to her baby daughter Raelin. -

RoseMaria Cowden
RoseMaria has been our morning sunshine for the last 8 years! She comes into the gym with a smile on her face and makes sure all of our students leave with a smile! She is a veteran of gymnastics with over 10 years of competitive experience. RoseMaria has been a Registered Nurse for 25 years and is the proud mother of 4 children ages 10-19 yrs. She also does lots of volunteer work for the American Heart Association and Barrington public schools. Her enthusiasm and cheerful disposition make her a perfect fit for our Preschool program.
Our coaches are specially selected and trained to safely bring out the best in each child by encouraging every student to exceed their goals in a fun & positive environment. Without question, it is our special teachers who have made East Bay Gymnastics such a wonderful place for kids for so many years! |
