Funtastic Fundamentals!
School-Age Basic Skill & Routine Development
Our school-age classes continue the fun approach of our preschool classes but in a more structured & skill oriented manner appropriate for our older students. In these classes, basic skills are broken down into their component parts, these individual parts are mastered and then we put it all together to form good solid safe skills that the kids can build upon for years. We strongly believe in the part-whole method of training. It takes a little longer, but the results are well worth it. |
Our classes are progressive, with the first 3 sessions geared toward skill development. During the last 2 sessions, we put these skills together into basic combinations & short routines that the children show off at our annual Spring Show where they receive a trophy and certificate for all of their hard work! We strongly recommend that the children attend the full school year to receive the full benefits of the program. |

Advanced Kinders - 5 to 6 years old
Advanced Kinders classes are for young athletes who have had at least 1 full school year of gymnastics experience. The class is based on our Beginner/Adv. Beginner classes while still maintaining an age appropriate environment. Here we can prepare the child, physically and mentally, for our more advanced gymnastics classes. Still FUN? ABSOLUTELY...just watch ‘em!
Beginners - 6 years old and up
Our beginner classes are based on USAG Level 1 skills. These skills are the foundation and backbone of the sport of gymnastics. These classes are designed for students with little or no experience in the sport of gymnastics.
Advanced Beginners - 6 y.o. and up
Advanced Beginners continue onto Level 2 skills. More emphasis is placed on quality of performance, combinations and physical strength and flexibility.
Intermediates - 6 y.o. and up
Intermediate classes are for experienced students who have mastered Level 2 skills. We jump right in at Level 3 and continue increasing skill level along with more strenuous strength & flexibility training.
Advanced Class - 2 hour class
This level introduces competitive routines and all that goes along with it! It’s a lot harder to put everything together in a routine than it is to perform an individual skill. Presentation, rhythm, and technique are stressed, as well as introducing the “rules of the game”.
Tumbling Classes - 8 y.o. and up
Tumbling classes are primarily for cheerleaders who wish to increase their skill level. Beginner classes are for learning cartwheels, round offs, walkovers and handsprings. Advanced is for students who already have round off backhandsprings.
