Meghan Oliver - Coach
Meghan started gymnastics when she was 1.5 years old and has been at East Bay since she was in 3rd grade. During her time competing, Meghan went through the levels up to Level 9. Vaulting has always been Meghan’s strongest event and she has been a State Champion and Regional medalist on it! Meghan was a member of Mt. Hope High Schools’ Gymnastics Team all 4 years of high where they went undefeated and were State Champs every season! Along with her teams’ success, Meghan also placed in the top 6 All Around all 4 years at High School States and competed at New Englands every year. Meghan was one of the captains of her team her senior year and was 1st team All State each year. Besides gymnastics Meghan was also a part of her schools’ Indoor and Outdoor Track Teams. Meghan is 1st team All Division in Track. This winter she became the 55m hurdles RI State Champion! This qualified her to New Englands where she placed 4th, and qualified her to Nationals! In addition to all of her athletic achievements Meghan also has many academic achievements. Some of the achievements she earned are placing 3rd in Mt Hope’s Science Fair, she was an Academic All Star for 2 years, and is ranked in the top ¼ of her graduating class!
In addition to her busy schedule Meghan has been a great addition to our staff. The younger gymnasts look up to her with great admiration.
Meghan has been accepted to and offered a track scholarship to West Virginia Univerisity. She is planning on majoring in Physical Therapy.
She will be greatly missed this fall, but we look forward to seeing her next summer!
